NEWS: A Western Sydney AI data centre is now live and ready for a massive 8,200 NVIDIA GPUs. ✔️
GreenSquare DC has brought 15MW of capacity online at the first stage of its SYD1 facility in Norwest Business Park, in Sydney's north-west.
The first stage has been fully leased to Nasdaq-listed Sharon AI.
The site was previously operated as a data centre by IBM and Kyndryl.
GreenSquare says the upgrade was completed in eight months.
The facility has been designed to support high-density AI workloads with liquid-to-chip cooling.
Sharon AI plans to deploy around 8,200 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs at the site.
A further 80MW second stage is planned, with support from the NSW Government’s Investment Delivery Authority.
