Women in Tech Initiative

Sydney Tech Expo has announced the launch of Women in Tech, a new initiative dedicated to celebrating, connecting and empowering women across Australia's technology industry.

The initiative will debut at Sydney Tech Expo with the Women in Tech Networking Event, bringing together professionals from startups, scale-ups, enterprises and government for an inspiring programme of panel discussions and networking. Designed to encourage meaningful conversations and professional connections, the free event will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from industry leaders while expanding their networks.

Alongside the networking event, Sydney Tech Expo is launching its new Women in Tech Ambassador Programme, inviting passionate advocates from across the industry to help promote diversity and inclusion within Australia's technology sector.

Open to all, the programme gives ambassadors the opportunity to contribute ideas for panel discussions, receive a personalised Ambassador Pack, promote the initiative across their networks and help grow the Women in Tech community.

The launch also marks the beginning of a wider programme of Women in Tech Fringe Events, which will take place throughout the year. From networking evenings and leadership discussions to roundtables and community meetups, these events will keep the conversation going beyond the exhibition and create ongoing opportunities for collaboration and professional development.

The inaugural Women in Tech Networking Event will take place on 10 November, from 1:00pm–2:00pm at the Networking Hub during Sydney Tech Expo. Attendance is free, with advance registration required. Applications are now open for professionals interested in becoming Women in Tech Ambassadors.
