Nvidia wants to more than DOUBLE Australia’s AI computing capacity by 2027.

Nvidia is working with eight Australian data centre and cloud companies to develop up to 2GW of AI related capacity across the country.

This will more than double Australia’s current computing load of around 1.6GW.

The eight partners named are Firmus, Sharon AI, IREN, ResetData, Megaport, CDC, NEXTDC and AirTrunk.

NVIDIA will provide its DSX platform, accelerated computing technology, networking, software and ecosystem support.

Nvidia has said the expansion will help Australian innovators develop AI models, applications and agents while supporting growing regional and global demand for AI compute.
