Ben (Benoit) Boudreau is Global Chief Technology Officer at Zerra DC and brings nearly two decades of international experience in data centre engineering and sustainable development. Since joining Zerra in September 2024, he has focused on emerging customer requirements, next-generation technologies, and the strategic partnerships needed to deliver gigawatt-scale AI campuses across Asia Pacific. Under his technical leadership, Zerra DC is developing Western Downs Digital Park (https://www.westerndownsdigitalpark.com.au/) in regional Queensland. At 1.44GW across four stages, WDDP is one of Australia's largest digital infrastructure investments.
Before joining Zerra, Ben was Head of Data Center Design Engineering for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Asia Pacific from October 2018 to August 2024. Based first in Singapore and later in Seoul, he led a team of 75+ engineers across 11 countries, covering all design disciplines. His team delivered data centres across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, China, India, Singapore and Southeast Asia, and helped develop AWS's next-generation global data centre design templates.
Energy efficiency and responsible development have shaped his career. Ben holds two patents in data centre cooling technology. He has also lectured part-time at Université de Moncton in Canada, which named him its Engineering Faculty's 2025 Alumni of the Year.
