Shayne is an executive leader in the renewable energy and data centre sector with over 14 years of experience driving strategy, innovation, M&A, and infrastructure development across Europe, APAC, and Australia. His career highlights include leading Energy Strategy at Amazon Web Services for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and co-founding a startup that went on to participate in an international startup accelerator.
As Head of Energy at NEXTDC, Shayne oversees global energy strategy and investments, as well as the commercial aspects of grid connections, and helps drive energy efficiency across NEXTDC's global data centre fleet. Shayne is also the Chair of Data Centre Australia's Energy Policy and Technical committee, where he leads policy formation and response on behalf of the data centre industry.
Shayne holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and Commerce (Finance). He also has an MBA from the Melbourne Business School, where he was featured on the Dean's List.
